Our 4th Parliamentary intern is on the Hill – read what she has to say about her first day!
Our fourth intern, Jessica Daoud started her Parliamentary internship this month in the office of MP Elizabeth May! Here are her reflections on her first day:
“My first day on Parliament Hill was very exciting and rewarding! It was a pleasure to meet with the official members of MP Elizabeth May’s staff in their offices. We got straight to work at 9:00am with orientation and administrative work and I got to learn extensively about the issues that are important to the MP’s constituents. I worked directly with correspondence from MP Elizabeth May’s riding and as a result learned about the different issues that are important to Canadians. The internship has already opened my eyes to the legislative process and it is definitely a career I see myself pursuing in the near future. I am very grateful to be part of this opportunity and am greatly looking forward to the rest of my internship!”
