An enlightening presentation from Lia Tarachansky – Recap + Pictures

NCCAR hosted the event “From Settler to Peace Advocate” with guest speaker Ms. Lia Tarachansky. Thank you to all who attended, participated in the Q&A session and donated to the film!

Speaking to a crowd of over 200, Tarachansky enlightened us about her personal experience growing up as a settler in the West Bank and the key points and questions that challenged her perspective on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Solving this conflict begins with sincerely questioning what happened in 1948 to the Palestinians as Israel was created. Tarachanksy referred to her film Seven Deadly Myths which sheds light on the collective amnesia of Israelis when it comes to the fateful events of those years.
