Last night, the National Council on Canada-Arab Relations was pleased to host 100 young Canadian Arab professionals at our inaugural Youth Connect Networking Dinner.

This event brought together a diverse array of participants to talk about workplace experiences, forge new networks, and fill-out a survey to contribute to the research of Dr. Bessma Momani, Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science of the University of Waterloo.

With a grant from the Trudeau Foundation, Dr. Momani is conducting a nationwide series of lectures, surveys, and focus groups to learn about how Canadian Arabs view their role in society, how they feel about their portrayal in the media, and what can be done to improve their sense of belonging.

We were pleased to welcome Ahmed Hussen, M.P. for York South – Weston as our keynote speaker.

Young Canadian Arabs looking for internship and employment opportunities should send their résumé with a cover letter to nccar@nccar.ca
